The most effective protection from heat is the kind that sits outside the window: the heat never gets into the glazing at all. Facade blinds SkyFlow control the light by turning aluminium slats, while fabric screens SkyRoll close openings up to 5 × 5 m and keep the view from the window. Electric drive, sensors and smart home.
Both systems work on the outside and keep the heat away from the glass. The difference lies in how the light is controlled: by turning a slat or by the density of a fabric.

Aluminium slats turn through 90–180°: you can keep the view from the window and cut out the direct sun, or close the opening completely. The headbox hides in the insulation (BOX/EDGE, BASIC, COMPACT) or is surface-mounted on a finished facade (SZF/A, SZF/S). Versions with a crank handle are available — no wiring needed.

A glass-fibre fabric coated with PVC: it cuts out the sun but keeps the daylight and the view of the street. ZIP systems hold the fabric in zipped guides and are not troubled by wind, marquisolettes add an awning above the window, and horizontal Veranda units cover a conservatory.
| What matters | Slats | Fabric screen |
|---|---|---|
| Light control | turning the slat: from full shade to a narrow band of light | by fabric density: openness of 1–5 %, soft and constant light |
| View from the window | kept when the slats are open | always kept, but as if through a mesh |
| Full blackout | yes, with the slats closed | only with Serge 600 BO Lunar blackout fabric |
| Wind | the blinds retract in strong wind | ZIP versions work in wind, cable versions retract |
| Maximum in a single fabric width | up to 500 × 500 cm (depending on the system) | up to 700 cm wide (ZiiiP 120) |
| Without wiring | versions with a crank handle are available | versions with a crank handle and a chain are available |
| Price | higher for the same area | usually more affordable |
Not sure? Send us a photo of the facade and tell us which way it faces — we will say what works better here and price up both options.
System, window dimensions, motor and controls — the price is calculated immediately from the manufacturer's 2026 price list including VAT. We will confirm the exact amount with installation after the measuring visit.
The price depends heavily on the type of system, so the quoting is split: slatted systems are priced from their own price-list grid, screens from theirs. Both pages calculate with VAT and delivery included.
Give us the dimensions and the system — we will check them against the technical data sheets and send you an exact price the same day.
We calculate the whole set: system, drive, guide rails, sensors and installation.
Interior blinds fight the heat once the sun has already come through the glass. Exterior systems tackle the problem far more decisively: the heat is stopped before the glazing, and even panoramic south-facing windows stop turning the room into a greenhouse. Aluprof has two tools for this — blinds with adjustable slats and fabric screens.
Aluminium slats in the C shape (classic, softly diffusing the light) or the Z shape (closing more tightly, deeper shade) are turned by a motor to any angle — you can darken the room without losing the view from the window. For new builds there are the concealed headboxes BOX/EDGE, BOX/BASIC and BOX/COMPACT — they disappear under the render or into the insulation layer, leaving only the slats visible on the facade. For finished houses there are the surface-mounted SZF/A and the self-supporting SZF/S, while SZF/IN with its narrow C50 SLIM slat brings the facade look indoors. Sizes go up to 4.5 m wide and 4 m high, and the clip-in guides fit quickly and last for years.
A screen is an exterior roller blind made of technical fabric: the sun and the glare are cut out, but the silhouettes beyond the window stay visible. The flagship SkyRoll ZIP holds the fabric in the guides on the zipprinciple: the fabric is tensioned like a string, the wind cannot pull it out, and it keeps insects out of the opening at the same time. One screen covers up to 5 × 5 metres. The fabrics are the COPACO and Serge Ferraricollections: hundreds of densities and colours. For standard windows there are CLASSIC, ECO and In, the hybrid SkyTwin combines a roller shutter and a screen in one headbox, and the ready-made R 120 / R 160 ZiiiP, Veranda V ZiiiP for conservatories and Markizoleta 120 with a projecting lower section cover the less usual scenarios.
Facade blinds and ZIP screens only work with an electric drive — it is part of the structure. Controls: a switch, a radio remote, a smartphone, smart home scenes; sun and wind sensors lower the shading in the heat and retract the fabric in a storm by themselves.
The heat is stopped outside, before the glazing unit — the room does not overheat.
Tilt to any angle: the light is metered and you keep the view from the window.
The screen fabric is tensioned like a zip — it neither flaps nor gives way to the wind.
Sun and wind sensors, scenes, smartphone control.

The sun is stopped right up to the glass: the heat never enters the room at all, instead of being fought off by a blind on the inside. In summer that means a few degrees less indoors and savings on air conditioning.
SkyFlow blinds — aluminium C and Z slats that turn: the light is metered and the view is kept. SkyRoll screens — tensioned fabric (COPACO, Serge Ferrari): even shade and translucency. We often combine the two.
Blinds go up to 4.5 m wide and 4 m high (depending on the system); ZIP screens up to 5 × 5 m (16 m²), and the R 120 up to 7 m wide.
Concealed installation under plaster, within the insulation layer, surface-mounted or interior (C50 SLIM) — the solution can be planned into a new build as well as an existing house. Controls — electric drive, remote control, smart home, sun and wind sensors.
Price based on the project: system, dimensions, automation. Send us your window dimensions or the facade drawings — we will calculate the price and come out for a professional measuring visit (throughout Latvia and the Baltics, we also work across Europe). 2-year warranty.
Send us a photo of the facade — we will choose the system and price up the set.
