Description

ALUPROF roller screens: down in summer, rolled away in winter

A roller (cassette) insect screen is the most convenient solution if you would rather not fit and remove frames every season. The mesh runs in side channels and rolls up into a neat aluminium housing above the window: in summer the screen is down, in winter it is out of sight and does not spoil the look of the facade. Our screens are the best in their classbecause they are built on components from the ALUPROFgroup, Europe's No. 1 supplier of window and solar shading systems.

MZN — for windows

Extruded aluminium for the housing, the channels and the bottom bar, a tight fit with no gaps, and locking at any height with a special hook. The ALU-CLICK mechanism opens and closes the screen intuitively, in a single movement, and the optional brake gives a soft, silent close. The compact housing even fits into the recess of a roller shutter system.

MZH — for roof windows

A special version for sloping roof windows: the bottom bar locks from the inside, the screen is completely sealed with no additional gaskets, and the offset channels allow the system to be fitted to windows with a drip flashing. Component-compatible with MZN.

Both versions are available in 19 colours — from white and anthracite through to golden oak and walnut, matched to the colour of the window or the roller shutters. Made to exact measurements, installed by our own fitters.

Cassette housing

The mesh rolls up into a compact aluminium box.

Stays up over the winter

Roll it up and forget it until summer. No frames to store.

MZH for roof windows

The version for sloping roof windows with a fully sealed bottom.

19 colours

Matched to the window and the roller shutters — wood finishes included.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about roller insect screens

How does a roller screen work?

The mesh rolls up into an aluminium housing above the window and is pulled down along the side channels whenever you need it. The ALU-CLICK mechanism locks the screen at any height, and the optional soft brake stops the mesh shooting back up.

How does the MZH system differ from MZN?

MZN — for ordinary windows; MZH — for roof windows: locking from the inside, a sealed bottom and fitting to windows with a drip flashing, with the mesh held flat along the sloping window.

Does the housing get in the way of opening the window?

No: the housing is fitted to the frame or into a roller shutter recess and does not cross the sash — the window opens and tilts as usual.

Which colours are available?

19 system colours: white, grey, anthracite, black, browns, wood finishes and anodised — to suit any window. ALUPROF is Europe's No. 1 manufacturer of systems like these.

How much does it cost and how do I order?

The price depends on the window dimensions — send us an enquiry and we will quote the same day. Professional surveying throughout Latvia and the Baltics, we also work across Europe. Two-year guarantee.
